They have long, pointed ears (sometimes long enough to look floppy) and their presence feels more ethereal compared to a human. Sometimes, it appears to the human eye that an elve’s eyes, skin, or hair faintly glows- it’s especially noticeable when they use magic. Typically tall and thin, though there are exceptions.

《 General Information- Iledri ã€‹

Iledri (ill-ehd-ree) is the southeasternmost country in Nysa and inhabited by the elves. The region is full of lush, coniferous forests. In particular, fruit trees grow well here. The climate ranges from humid continental in the north to humid subtropical in the south. Crops are well irrigated by the many sources of fresh water in the region

Elsyn Lake is a sacred place for the elves and many live surrounding it. In their culture, it is thought to be the place that the rest of the world was created from and where their water goddess, Elsyn, rests in eternal sleep. The oracles are thought to be able to commune with the goddess in their dreams, from which they produce prophecies and are able to advise their queen, Arilya Faeren. The queen and any other leaders rely heavily on the oracles and what they tell them.

Elves are masters in the practice of magic. Each elf is born with the innate ability to use a certain magical ability that grows with age. Iledrians tend to wear loose or flowing clothing and particularly loves anything that represents nature or water in reverence for their beginnings. Because of their natural-born abilities and longer life spans than humans, elves tend to look down upon them (and halflings) as lesser beings. They view humans as less intelligent- savage even. Humans therefore, not typically welcomed in Iledri.

《 Major Towns and Cities ã€‹

Selahil - Selahil is the capital of Iledri and sits on the southern coast of Eslyn Lake. Besides being the place where the current queen resides, it hosts a well-regarded school of magical arts. Here, elves can learn how to use their gifts and improve upon them under the wisdom of their elders. Many fine warriors and artists of all sorts have studied here. There is also a large market where produce and exotic goods are sold.

Selan - Almost as large as the capital city, this city sits on the opposite side of Eslyn Lake and is known to produce some of the best oracles and fortune tellers. Many healers also reside here and many come to them for healing or apprenticeship. It is a very peaceful and religious place. At important times of the year, sacred festivals are held in Selan and many elves make pilgrimages here even if they reside in Corith.

Alari - This is the sister town of Bridgeport and was built around the border check on the Iledrian side. It is a bustling trading town and because of its close proximity to Corith, many elves who live here are more tolerant of humans. Many skilled warrior mages make their home here as well, finding their skills more useful, especially as mercenaries and bodyguards for both Corithians and Iledrians.

Lyeneas Port - This port town is the easternmost town in all of Nysa. Many elves that live here are both sailors and explorers. It is said that some elves have explored even beyond the Scorching Desert but, if they have, nothing is known about their expeditions. Many who have ventured out past the desert have never returned. Despite this, many exotic goods come from the port and are transported into the far corners of Nysa.

《 General Information- Corith ã€‹

Corith (kor-ith) is a very typical medieval fantasy country. It is a neutral land between Fyr and Iledri, which helps to keep the peace between the two. In the north, it is bordered by the Finis Mountain Range and in the southeast it is separated from Iledri by the Edrein River. The country has a humid continental climate which means warm summers and colder winters- but not as cold as Fyr. The land is quite good for agriculture and many people make a living through farming or raising animals, particularly in the grasslands.

Corith is not led by one leader but many. The heads of all of the main houses of nobility in Corith meet together in Tirion City at the Table of Lords to decide and vote on important topics. It isn’t democratic as they aren’t voted in but it also isn’t a monarchy. Because only the rich nobility are making the rules, often those in poverty go unnoticed. However, most laws benefit the majority- particularly laws banning discrimination based on race. Humans, elves, and halflings are all welcomed in Corith and live quite peacefully amongst each other.

Corith has a fairly small military with only a few soldiers on border patrol in Greydale and Bridgeport. It does boast a decent-sized navy in Tirion Harbour but it hasn’t seen major use in quite a few decades. Overall, the military only oversees who is entering and leaving the country and lately they have been quite lax. Even as the neutral country that the others have sworn not to attack or takeover, its defenses have been better.

《 Major Towns and Cities ã€‹

Tirion City - The capital city, this is the cultural and governmental hub of Corith. People of al statuses and races live here as it a large and grand city. There is much to do in the city and goods and people from across the world can be found here. Many of the wealthy live here and it is also home to Corith’s navy. Many ships enter and exit the city through the South Tirion Harbour, carrying a wealth of supplies and knowledge.

Greydale - Prominent border town built near one of the passable routes through the Finis Mountains. One of the main duties within the town is keeping track of who or what is crossing the border between Corith and Fyr. It is also in charge of the surrounding smaller villages in the area. Many people will travel here for trade rather than going all the way down to the capital.

Bridgeport - Bridgeport is another large border town that was built around the great bridge connecting Corith to Iledri. Like Greydale, it acts as a waypoint for travelers and supplies across the border, as well as a central hub for the surrounding villages. Corithians in the area practice agriculture of some sort.
